How to Buy OSRS Gold Safely (2026 Guide)
Old School RuneScape gold (GP) is sold per million. Here is how to find a fair price, receive your gold in game, and stay away from the usual scams.

1. How OSRS gold is priced
Offers are priced per 1M gold. On the OSRS gold listings, offers are sorted cheapest first. Bigger orders often get a volume discount, shown on the offer before you buy.
LLoot adds no buyer fee: the price you see is the price you pay, plus only your own crypto network fee (a few cents on Polygon).
2. How you receive the gold
After you pay, the seller asks for your in-game name in the order chat and gives you a world and a location to meet. The gold is handed over by a normal trade. Some sellers ask you to trade a cheap item back so the trade looks natural: that is common and fine.
Check the amount in the trade window before accepting, then confirm the order on LLoot. If something is wrong, open a dispute instead: the seller is only paid after confirmation.
3. Scams to avoid
- "Pay me directly, it's cheaper": paying outside the platform removes all protection. Always pay the order on LLoot.
- Gold doubling and "trust trades": nobody doubles your gold. Never hand over gold or items first to prove anything.
- Fake staff or middlemen messaging you in game: LLoot support only talks to you on the site.
- Account sharing: no seller needs your password to deliver gold.
4. Pay with USDT or USDC
LLoot accepts USDT and USDC on Polygon. If you have never paid with crypto, follow the step-by-step payment guide: buy USDT on an exchange, send it on the Polygon network, paste the transaction hash. LowGuard holds the payment until you confirm delivery.
